Fundraising Manager

Penny Appeal has ambitious growth plans and to help achieve them we are recruiting a Fundraising Manager in London. Working with the London Director you will initiate, plan and manage the fundraising and volunteer activity for the charity through targeting the London and Greater London community.

 

You will create, manage and deliver a fundraising strategy, recruit, lead, develop and manage a team of fundraisers and represent Penny Appeal at campaigns and fundraising/promotional events.

 

Interested? To be considered, you will need :-

 

  • A minimum of two years’ senior level fundraising experience
  • Proven fundraising track record across all types of fundraising
  • Experience of creating, managing and developing new teams
  • Excellent networking and influencing skills
  • Self-confidence to approach donors and funders 
  • Strong project management skills and initiative

Challenges Fundraising Co-ordinator

Midlands Based

 

We currently have a great opportunity available to directly influence the work of Penny Appeal. As Challenges Fundraising Co-ordinator you will encourage fundraisers to take on life changing experiences, by recruiting new and current supporters to take part in sporting events, UK and overseas challenges.

 

You will support participants to take part in challenges to generate income for the charity and be responsible for building and developing a growing base of sporting and challenge activities to offer supporters and members of the general public.

 

Interested? To be considered, you will need :-

 

  • A minimum of three years’ experience across volunteering and fundraising activities
  • Ability to plan and deliver challenge event activities.
  • Excellent networking and influencing skills
  • To be creative and able to develop new challenge ideas
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Good knowledge of contemporary fundraising techniques

PR & Communications Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced PR and Communications Officer to join our award-winning Charity. You will provide creative, flexible and measurable communications to meet our aims. Developing and delivering key communications through a range of channels so as to strengthen our external profile with key stakeholders, funding bodies, supporters and within the Third Sector in general.

 

Working closely with the CEO you will establish and execute the PR strategy, be responsible for managing/responding to all press enquiries and identify, build and maintain relationships with key local, regional and national media outlets.

 

Interested? To be considered, you will need :-

 

  • A minimum of two years’ experience within a similar role
  • Proven experience in copywriting or in the PR/Media environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills
  • Customer focus and the ability to take ownership and solve complex customer issues
  • Excellent organisational, time management and multi-tasking skills
  • A positive, can-do and resilient attitude
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Team Leader - Support Centre

Competitive Salary

Wakefield Based

 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to join our Support Centre. Are you a driven individual who works well under pressure and to tight deadlines? Do you have good organisational and IT skills? If so, this role could be for you.

 

As Team Leader you will be responsible for providing quality and efficient services to our Donors, through the daily management of a team of advisors. This will include motivating, recognising and rewarding, coaching, counselling, recruitment, training and problem solving across the team. In addition you will assist the Support Centre Manager with the smooth running of the support centre through analysis, scheduling and reporting.

 

Interested? To be considered, you will need :-

  • Good written and exceptional verbal communication skills
  • Minimum of 12 months experience of managing a team
  • Ability to develop teams to meet and exceed targets
  • Proven ability to use your initiative and be proactive
  • Strong people development skills through call listening, quality feedback, etc.
  • Demonstrate skills in organising, decision making, planning, dealing with conflict, performance management, ideally through experience in a contact centre environment
  • Able to work under pressure in an extremely busy and demanding environment
  • Experience of managing a diverse operation with fluctuating workload
